Pennsylvania Recycling Markets Center to Sponsor Manufactured Soils Workshop

 The Pennsylvania Recycling Markets Center (RMC) is proud to sponsor a Manufactured Soils Workshop at Ridgewood Soils, Inc., Reading, PA on July 15, 2010. It is a hands-on, in the field, one-day workshop for soil blenders and topsoil suppliers, composters, green building professionals, and the landscape and nursery industry.

The workshop will feature teaching and practical advice from Penn State University Soil Science faculty, a tour of the Ridgewood soil blending facility, and the opportunity to blend and evaluate your own soil.

Participants will learn how soils function and key characteristics for various uses, soil blending for a variety of high-end applications, assessing possible materials for use in blended soils and testing and evaluating blended soil products.
